Brand new to Linux, but a quick leaer. Had to install adobe flash to do some online courses for school and went to their website, downloaded the tar.gz file for the plugin. It came with a readme. I did everything that the file said and it does work, however there are two files that were unpacked in my downloads directory that I caot delete due to permission issues. I'm not sure if I even should delete them, but why would they be locked in the first place? Anyone else had this experience? Hello, as you can probably tell from where I am posting this thread, I am new to Ubuntu and Linux in general. About a month ago I decided that I wanted to give Linux a try and now I am wanting to completely switch to using just Ubuntu Linux. I have yet to fully install Ubuntu on my computer (have been ruing it off my USB drive) and there are some clear disadvantages to using it like that. However, as of late, I can't even run Linux in preview mode let alone install it. Hi everyone, hope that someone will be able to help me.I had a problem with my wife's Toshiba Satellite C55-A ruing on Windows 10, when Win performed update, and would not boot any more and also locked HDD. After trying literally every guide on this topic, and loosing my mind, I decided to take out the data through the docking station, and format the drive and install Ubuntu on it.Anyway, data out, drive formatted, I try to run Ubuntu 14.04 installation on it from live USB, and it always gets stuck on trying to coect page of the installation.I tried then to reinstall Win, and it installs almost to the end, when it gives out message that it can't reboot.Anybody have an idea what could be caus...
