Hello,I have been trying to install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x64 as an only OS on my hard drive through DVD. The DVD boots but I do not get the first screen of choices where we choose language, and whether to try or completely install Ubuntu etc. Instead it directly goes to live session with a blank screen (not black). I can see the top most panel bar and the network, language, interface button on it. And thats it. Nothing else. It just stops there. I do not know how to tackle this.I have a intel core2duo, with 2 GB ram, 160 GB sata harddisk. UEFI is not an issue since it is not present.I installed Ubuntu studio 16.04 LTS x64 on it previously and it was good.Thank you. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Hello there users ,Im trying to install Ubuntu 15.1 on my Dell netbook .This happens with 16.04 ,15.10 and 14.04 .I don't quite remember how I installed 15.04 but i remember i installed a 15 version so :I have successfully used Ubuntu 15.04 and was very happy with it until it i tried to upgrade to 15.10 and my Login screen freezed (not after login in but before) so i tried manydifferent things until I decided to do a clean install which freezes while loading the desktop if no options are set.Here :CAM01257.jpgCAM01259.jpgIf I try noacpi or acpi=off I have the same problem except the battery icon doesn't appear.If i try any other options like:nomodesetnolapicnoapicvideo=1024x600-24@60video=VG...
