Greetings,I recently built my first 16.04 server. It has 2 1TB drives in a RAID 1 for /, Boot, Swap, and Primary Data Storage.The boot partitions on both drives is marked as bootable.It has another RAID 1 of 1TB drives for archive data storage.Discoecting any one drive prevents successful boot and drops to initramfs.Ruing dpkg-reconfigure mdadm does not ask about boot degraded. Maybe I am making this more complicated than it needs to be - I suppose that can be said often for security.Anyway - I have a series of directories that I can browse from the command line using Putty but using the same user ids from a Win10 box I can't access the same shares via Samba. I have recently been having issues with my Samba shares and thought it best to just reinstall the whole program, since it was working well from the time it was first installed. I had issues installing with apt-get, so I resorted to installing from source and that is the method I prefer. Hello, I'm having trouble getting ubuntu 16.04 server to request/get a dhcpv6 provided IP address when the networking.service restarts or the server reboots. I'm able to manually run dhclient -6 and get a dhcpv6 provided IP address. Under normal operation I just get a autoconfigured/peer probed IP address that is based on the subet and mac of the server. Hi all, my name is Mark, I am new on the forum but not on Ubuntu (been using it since the 12.04). Yesterday I messed up my network settings on lubuntu 16.04. Wifi had problems and I thought it was my problem, it tued out later, that the problem was a temporary problem with the central wifi, it basically showed as coected but I could not load any pages in Firefox.
