Hi,I'm trying to do-release-upgrade from my 14.04.5 LTS box to 16.04 LTS, but do-release-upgrade tells me that either I have unofficial packages or I'm trying to upgrade from an outdated version, neither of which seems to be true. But other than this message, I can't get out the specifics of why the upgrade is not working.14.04.5 is listed among the 'current' releases: http://releases.ubuntu.com/ . this is what my system sais: Code: # lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Hello guys, i'm trying to install an .exe file (or any .exe files) in LXDE, but it doesn't work for some reason...I have followed the guide from this site: https://wiki.winehq.org/UbuntuAnd still doesn't work.. Last week I downloaded openGl so that I could use SketchUp on my desktop (SketchUp doesn't recognise my Haswell on board graphics chip). /the next day I rebooted my machine and it came up with the message missing NGLDR file. So, ever since I did sudo apt-get upgrade, my laptop has been screwed up. The clock is just white rectangles, all the stuff on my desktop vanished, I can't open Nautilus (file manager), and terminal isn't working. It just won't open, it'll load, but won't open. If I do something like lets say, upload an image on imgur, I can still view all my files, I just can't change them. Please help me! Until recently, I was using Trusty Tahr and had no problems printing to my Dell B1160w USB direct-attached USB printer. But when I installed Xenial Xerus, I can no longer print. The printer appears to be recognized correctly, and it appears in the Printers settings panel. But when I click the "Print Test Page" button, nothing happens.When I "lpr testDoc.txt", the lights blink on the printer, but nothing prints. This post is not aimed to discuss any political issue. Far from having this intention, I would like to ask you about any heard information from Canonical to tackle this eventuality. The main reason to ask this is because, this company, as far as I know, is based in UK. Sources of income depend strongly on free trade, specialy in the IT sector. Because the free trade between UK and EU is likely going to be closed, this could represent a decrese in its income (this may affect to support and development of Ubuntu).
